Dompé started their journey to Google Workspace in October 2022, when they embarked on a migration off Microsoft O365. Being located in both Italy and the US, the company realized they needed a US partner locally to make this large-scale migration a success.
The move from O365 to Workspace requires a lot of training for employees and change management support. Onix was brought in to support both initiatives to ensure a smooth transition for the US-based team.
The Solution:
The Onix team supported the migration to Workspace in the US by providing project management, change management, training and on-site support.
- Change Management:
- Developed communications plan and supported distribution of messages
- Kept learning site updated with new information regularly
- Training & Support:
- Onix delivered “Digital Genius” Training programs to Google Guides so that employees can turn to this champion group for support in using Google World applications during the deployment.
- This effort was supported by Q&A video recordings, chat spaces, and weekly meetings
- In total, five (5) whiteglove sessions for executives and their admins
- Additional information for end users was developed: Go Live Preparation Checklists, After Go Live, Security, TipCards, and much more.
- Onix delivered “Digital Genius” Training programs to Google Guides so that employees can turn to this champion group for support in using Google World applications during the deployment.
- On-Site:
- Provided end-user support which encouraged adoption of Workspace an increased engagement
- Onix & Google participated in Dompé’s US National Sales event – 50% of the end users visited our booth and spent time learning more about Google Workspace.
The Results:
The project was a huge success and a big win for Dompé, as the US end-users are fully migrated to Workspace and adoption has been achieved. In fact, of the total of US users, 85% have been logged in to Google Workspace since go-live. These numbers will only increase with further training and coaching on the Google Workspace tools in our upcoming project. The Onix team and the Dompé IT team complimented each other well and developed a wonderful working relationship.
